Israelâ€™s Covid-19 vaccination â€˜green passâ€™ launched as country eases restrictions

Israel has been rolling out â€œCovid-19 vaccine passportsâ€ since the country began easing coronavirus restrictions on February 21, 2021. Shops are allowed to resume business to welcome the general public, but some leisure facilities including swimming pools, gyms and theatres can only reopen to people who have a â€œgreen passâ€. The certifications are only given to those who have had both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine or individuals who have recovered from a coronavirus infection.
