Scott Ritter is a controversial figure. His analysis of events in the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine are respected by many and also they anger many others.
Ritter has a background as a US Marine Corps combat officer, UN weapons inspector and intelligence analyst.

Ritter was convicted of sex offenses in Pennsylvania in 2011 and he served 3 years in prison. He is still pursuing an appeal of the conviction.
