Scuffles erupted between Israeli police and Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem where several Palestinian

families face eviction from homes claimed by

Jewish settlers in a long-running legal case.

Israel carried out an airstrike on Gaza on

Saturday. destroying a tower block that housed

residents and news media organizations, while

Palestinian rockets hit Tel Aviv with no sign of

an end to almost a week of fighting.

Palestinians say at least 145 people, including

41 children, have been killed in Gaza since the

conflict erupted on Monday. Israel has reported

10 dead, including two children.
