The Supreme Court has ruled against the government's plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda, saying it's "unlawful".

Lord Reed announced the "unanimous" judgment, saying refugees sent to the country would be at "real risk" of being returned to the places they fled from, whether their grounds to claim asylum were justified or not.

The case was heard by Lord Reed, Lord Hodge, Lord Lloyd-Jones, Lord Briggs and Lord Sales.

The home secretary's case was dismissed.
