Professor Robert Tombs is one of Britain's preeminent historians, professor emeritus at the University of Cambridge and a fellow of St John's College.

We sat down to discuss the attack on British history and the threat it poses to national unity and cohesion. What is it to be British? What is it to be English? Can the country survive mass uncontrolled immigration? Are we still a Christian nation?
