The Salafist movement arrived in Bosnia during the harsh conflict between the Bosnian Serbs and the Bosniaks, the country's Muslim community. As the war intensified, the conflict attracted foreign fighters, including forces financed by Saudi Arabia, who brought with them their more radical Islam.
