Rice Creek Minnesota, Spring 2020. Field tests of the new technology for removing Common Carp during spawning migrations. The technology is largely hands-free and involves low-Voltage electric guidance systems and conveyers. Passive integrated transponder tags are used to monitor carp behavior. This technology could be used for managing invasive fish during their seasonal migrations and for conservation of native fishes that are having difficulties navigating around dams and other man-made obstacles.
