Sex-change surgery on the rise in Iran

According to the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization, the number of people seeking sex reassignment surgery in #Tehran is on the rise.

#Transsexuality was made legal in #Iran in 1987. The government offers financial assistance in certain gender-reassignment cases. According to the State Welfare Organization of Iran, 70 people apply for help every year.
