Is America Exceptional? As we get ready for Succot, we focus on the idea of Jewish Exceptionalism, as seen in the tefillot for the Chagim - Atah bachartanu mikol ha'amim - what does that mean?
This shiur is in response to great question sent in an email from an alumnus:
I have a pretty simple question that's been bothering me. I am having a hard time understanding the Jewish view on-Jews. The traditional answers that I have learned don't settle well with me. I just want to understand how God would create some people at a higher advantage from birth. (even though yes i know some people are born poor/rich/healthy..)
