NYPD Robot Dog deployed for Reported Armed Home Invasion in the Bronx

February 23 2021 Bronx, New York – At around 3 am police responded to a call regarding a home invasion. Address reported was 716 East 227 st in The Bronx . Police believe the suspect has barricaded himself inside the residence. NYPD hostage negotiaton team and TARU. According to police the incident has been going on since 3 am and that anyone in the apartment could be a suspect . Police also believe that possibly two guns involved in the home invasion . Ems official there was one hostage reported that who escaped the building at some point with possibly more people inside.

NYPD has confirmed that upon entry nobody was inside.



Robot Dog name is Digidog. It weighs about 70 pounds and is able to run about three and a half miles per hour and climb stairs. It’s covered with cameras and lights to get a real-time look at things.
