In June 2022, various spiritual leaders and organizations came together for a historic North American Swastika Leadership Conference, where a common understanding and messaging was developed among these leaders and organizations, so that the Dharmic and Native American communities can collectively work to advance a more accurate understanding of the sacred Swastika while standing with the Jewish and other communities in denouncing Hitler's symbol of hate - the Hakenkreuz (hooked cross).

So far, 13 prominent North American Buddhist and Hindu spiritual leaders and 25 organizations have endorsed the proclamation, with others joining as they learn more.
