Arya in the House of Black and White plays "Game of Faces"
There's a lot of occult themes embedded in the story of A Song of Ice and Fire, known popularly as The Game of Thrones. Occult themes represented are:
* Arya's training, first into non-identity(ego detachment) then into true identity(identity with the soul).
* House of Black & White (duality of the mind: left brain hemisphere is masculine brain & right brain hemisphere is feminine brain).
* Faceless Men, a secret network of assassins who change faces, never revealing their true identity.
* The 700 foot ice wall that acts as a barrier between the "Others," the "free folk," and "civilization."
* "Mad king" daughter Daenerys starts off as benign ruler before "switching" to blood-thirsty tyrant.
* The children of the forest plant a "crystal" in the chest of Man and the "Others" materialize, an unstoppable force of the dead. This symbolizes a negative internalization or projection of the ego, think of dogmatic ideology possession, mind control. The heart is the conduit for spiritual receptivity and transmission, i.e. expressiveness. You could think of the heart as a transmitter or satellite dish, capable of sending and receiving electromagnetic signals. Also, the brain is more electrical activity which is masculine and the heart is more magnetic activity which is feminine. Magnetic energy changes the shape of the invisible field and electric energy changes the shape of atomic particles, the physical part of the field. This is the study of quantum physics.
* Ice and Fire concept. Cold climate humans organize for survival more stably than hotter climate humans like Sub-Saharan Africans.
* The "Song" of Ice and Fire means energy of time. Ice humans are more conscientious, thus have higher IQs, and fire humans are more passionate and impulsive, more in-touch with their soul. Heart chakra has more energy than the mind chakra, an EEG scan for the brain and an EKG scan for the heart confirm this. This means heart energy is more powerful than brain energy which is why lies are more appealing than facts and logic. Socrates understood this, knowing that pathos was the most persuasive form of rhetoric.
* Arya single-handedly kills the "Night King of the Others," symbolizing she defeated the false identification of Self.
* There's different kinds of religions practiced in Westeros: Faith of the Seven(7 Hermetic principle association), the New Gods, symbolical for Christianity; the Old Gods, symbolic for paganism; The Lord of Light, symbolic for Luciferianism; and The Many Faced God, symbolic for Occultism such as the Kybalion.
* House Baratheon is split between three brothers contesting the throne. Each brother's personality represents a metal: Robert is steel, Renly is gold, and Stannis is iron. Stannis outlasts his brothers, matching the theme of whoever plays the Art of War's game theory the best survives the longest.
* 7 "gods" and 7 "houses"(nations or tribes) battle for hegemony over the Iron Throne which symbolizes the iron rule of game theory. This is why devious crooks like the Lannisters and Freys are superior in the Art of War compared to more honorable houses such as House Stark, House Tully, House Tyrell, and House Martell. House Targaryen is symbolic for the Leviathan which represents the archetypal police state or authoritarian regime. The Iron Throne is defeated when Daenerys the "mad" tyrant is killed by Jon Snow, a bastard of Targaryen(tyrant) and Stark(Honorable) blood. He represents a moralist rather than an order follower.
