Russian President Vladimir Putin got a royal welcome in Abu Dhabi, the first leg of his blitz gulf tour. UAE staged a lavish welcome ceremony with jets flying over the city leaving contrails in the colours of the Russian flag. Camel and horse cavalry guards lined the route of Putin's motorcade from the airport to the presidential palace.
