In these excerpts from a buried 60 minutes interview George Soros explains that "I am there to make money. I cannot and do not look at the social consequences of what I do." He also describes his experiences at age 14 with his Jewish identity hidden in Nazi Germany, where he helped to confiscate property from other Jews. In tapes and video here Soros describes this as "one of the happiest times" of his lifeâ€¦ "a very happy making exhilarating experienceâ€¦"
