[GIS OpenData] In this video I will talk about how to download geospatial data from OpenStreetMap (OSM).

==== OpenStreetMapÂ (OSM) ====
OpenStreetMapÂ (OSM) is aÂ collaborative projectÂ to create aÂ freeÂ editableÂ mapÂ of the world. TheÂ geodataÂ underlying the map is considered the primary output of the project. The creation and growth of OSM has been motivated by restrictions on use or availability of map data across much of the world, and the advent of inexpensive portableÂ satellite navigationÂ devices.[6]Â OSM is considered a prominent example ofÂ volunteered geographic information.

Geofabrik has a number of standardised products, but many clients also come to us with requirements that aren't met by any off-the-shelf services.
