Israelâ€™s plans to annex parts of the West Bank are deeply controversial. Meanwhile, radical Jewish settlers are establishing facts on the ground. Among them is Pinhas Attali, who has found a new home with his wife and their nine children near Hebron.

This documentary accompanies Pinhas Attali, who has moved to Kiryat Arba with his family. It is home to 8,000 Jewish Israelis, many of whom see themselves as a hard core of the settler movement and claim the West Bank as part of the biblical "Eretz Israelâ€, despite it being majority-Palestinian. Pinhas Attali is among those who consider the settler movement to be a divine mission that should be supported with all means necessary. For some the face of extremism, for the settlers he is a hero. At the start of this year, US President Donald Trump announced his support for the annexation of parts of the West Bank. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the plans would "constitute a most serious violation of international lawâ€. The growing tension and uncertainty are also being felt far away from the Middle East.
