The Trivium Method is a methodology of learning how to learn and learning how to think, much like other methodologies such as the scientific method. Trivium means three paths or ways, or the place where three roads meet.

Exoteric is the outer layer of truth, where perception is the most obvious and obtuse, i.e. literal, and the esoteric is the inner layer of truth, where perception has to be more acute and intuitive, i.e. allegorical. Hypnosis means knowledge that is hidden from the perceptive range and where a person is most open to suggestion, easiest to manipulate. Hypo means under and hyper means over.
