Until the 1950s, death was considered to be the point when any one of the vital functions — heartbeat or respiration — ceased. What this means is that, around the world, millions of people have been declared dead when, in fact, they were not.It wasn’t until 1959 that doctors agreed on a universal definition for death. The Holy Quran, however, stated its specific, unquestionable definition for death, 1400 years ago.
