Excerpt of an interview with the Shah of Iran, Mohammed Riza Pahlevl, by longtime broadcast journalist Mike Wallace on the weekly CBS news program "60 Minutes" that was broadcast on October 25, 1976. Regarding the Shah's discussion of the New York Times, see https://ifamericansknew.org/media/nyt-report.html
Although most Americans refer to the lobby as "the Israel lobby" (a more accurate term), it should be noted that like the Shah, Israelis call it "the Jewish lobby."
While in this 1976 interview Wallace seems skeptical of the Shah's statements, in 1988 Wallace himself broadcast a program exposing the power of the Israel lobby: https://youtu.be/wgaNmGydB5Y
