The ancient high priests (keepers of the secret astronomical & scientific knowledge) knew the Earth, like all other celestial orbs were round; however the masses were kept in the dark regarding the workings of electric/plasma in the solar system & specially comets, and even taught the masses the Earth was flat. In the 1800's at least 11 Comets were sighted the same year or shortly after their appearance of some of the following events that took place: Carrington Event, The Great Chicago Fire, wars & revolutions, pandemics, extreme storms, conflagrations, global cooling, earthquakes, mass migrations to America, Vesuvius, Tambora's volcanic eruptions, etc... The Comet of 1807 caused the Vesuvius eruption. The 1815 Comet caused the Tambora eruption.
