Ujina Japan - Japan's 4 year occupation of Siberia ends.
Military; Japanese. Japan ends occupation of Siberia in August; 1922; troops return home. Boat (fairly small; carrying c.30-40 men) coming up to dock; tying up. Japanese soldiers coming ashore. Cars driving down st . children at the side wave flags up & down. Soldiers w/ their gear; and civilian refugees w/ various luggage & possessions wait in large open area for customs officials.
Soldiers lined up for inspection. Athletes entertain the troops. Men walk in procession carrying ladders and twirling poles w/ decorations on top that look like giant origami. Some of the group climb ladders and do stunts. CU Young woman & child; some young boys; etc. Soldiers sit on ground eating w/ chopsticks. Homecoming; meals; food; Russia.
