Born in Danville, Virginia, USA (May 31,1949) as Wallace S. Wade, Rabbi Dr. Asher Wade is a Christian convert to Torah Judaism and is now in the Gur Hasidim. Although there are many thousands of Christians from all shades and denominations who have converted to Judaism, he is one of the few to also have become an Orthodox Rabbi. Here is one ex-Christian who really does have the right to call himself a rabbi!

He educated at Edinburgh University (Masters in Philosophical Theology) and ordained as a Methodist pastor in Hamburg, Germany, Rabbi Dr. Asher Wade converted to Judaism and has been living in Jerusalem since 1988. He has a private psychotherapy practice in Jerusalem, and is a renowned International Lecturer, who has spoken on five continents.
