A functional 3D cortexâ€like network is developed by culturing cortical cells in a fully geometrically, mechanically, and electrically interconnected 3D carbon nanotube web through the pores of graphene foam (GCNT web). The GCNT web provides a novel biomaterial able to produce in vitro cortexâ€like networks representing a model for preclinical screening of anticancer drugs.
