History is written, and rewritten by the victors in times of war. You can't trust sources when those sources come from the enemy. Think about how much Hollywood has crafted what you know about the past. Not only the past, but also what to expect in your future.

Was Orwell's 1984 not about the future, but about the past?
What if Ragnarok already came?
What if we are in a post-Armageddon world?
Is this the fallen state? Are we in the Age of Kali Yuga?

What if our entire timeline is off? What if there's been cataclysmic events where the story breaks down and now historical events are sandwiched into a timeline that's flawed? We see this all time where we're told one thing by so-called authoratative sources but we know it's false.
