I have a DVD of Depp's movie Pirates of the Caribbean. There's a scene where Depp (as Jack Sparrow) rescues Kiera Knightley (Elizabeth Swann) from drowning and rips open her bodice so she can breathe. Watch carefully when Depp says the line "Clearly you've never been to Singapore". Watch his eyes change. They do something really weird, like nictitating membranes or something. Find a copy of the movie and watch. One of the best "Reptilian shape shift" scenes you'll ever see.
