Taken from the Sea | Dutch Province of FLEVOLAND

Published on Apr 23, 2021
In their war against the sea, the Dutch have taken an entire new province from what was the Zuiderzee. Flevoland in the Netherlands is the largest land-reclamation project in the world and is larger than Bahrain or County Dublin. Some former islands and towns such as Urk and Schokland are now surrounded by land. How did they construct the polders and how did the plan the cities, agriculture, transport and economy of the new Flevoland province of the Netherlands?
As the Dutch saying says "God created the world, but the Dutch created the Netherlands".
