Teaching History to Kids, Bolshevism in a Nutshell

Going over the latest propaganda my son brought home with him from 6th grade indoctrination class (pseudo history about the 'dialogue opened up after those of African background in the US migrated to cities during the Progressive Era' and 'are differences good or are they bad' sorts of follow-up questions which an 11-year-old shouldn't be expected to answer without any sort of guidance on what 'different' means or doesn't mean in this context), words and phrases like "Marxist scum" and "Bolshevist excrement" came pouring out of my mouth. After my son tentatively asked, "What's Bolshevism," I calmed down enough to try to explain it to him within a couple of minutes. It was nearing 10:00pm and we were both done for the day. This video is my response to him - and I hope it's helpful for you! *If you have any advice for me as a parent, please let me know in the comments.
*Yes, homeschooling can often be best. It isn't working for us right now ~ may in the immediate future. Thank you!
