Chapter 1 of Carl Jung's essay, "Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle", titled "Exposition". As the title of his essay suggests, Jung believed the explanation for synchronicity lay outside the bounds of causality in space and time--or at least as we understand it.

I'm excited to share this work of Jung's, as it not only explains synchronicity as Jung had come to understand it, but also provides a (somewhat) comprehensive glimpse into Jung's world. Synchronicity, and its underlying principles, weren't just ideas or theories to Carl Jung--they were realities, and integral components in his understanding of psychology and metaphysics.

This is a great read/listen for anyone, but those with knowledge of Jung's theories regarding archetypes and the unconscious will especially appreciate the way he ties synchronicity, the unconscious and archetypes together.

This is the only chapter I'll be reading from this essay, because I think it's the only one that can be understood well via listening only, and I believe it provides enough information to suit most listeners. The entire essay can be purchased for $5 or less, and contains charts, diagrams, etc. detailing the data Jung references, if you really want to get deep into the nuts and bolts of synchronicity.
