Laughable. (Looks like a really poor OUTER LIMITS or TWILIGHT ZONE not even as good as the FIRST series of LOST IN SPACE) Next time they need to get Steven Spielberg or the Star Wars' George Lucas, Star Trek's Gene Roddenberry team, Men in Black's Lowell Cunningham creators, even Peter Jackson's (J.R.R. Tolkien's) Hobbit and Lord of the Rings to fabricate their narrative's special effects for believability.

Or more closer to NASA reality - CAPRICORN ONE - When the first manned flight to Mars is deemed unsafe and scrubbed on the launch pad, anxious authorities must scramble to save face and retain their funding - and so an unthinkable plot to fake the mission is hatched.
