The Path of Wotan by Jost Turner Jung Odinism Paganism

I am not a fan of trivializing ancient stories (which repeat world wide across many cultures) into symbols, and archetypes of the mind as Jung and to an extent Freud has done. It is so interesting that any organic practice which springs from the cultural soul of a people, becomes demonized, feared, and currently viewed as fantasy within a relatively short time after forced conversion to christianity. (The norse are not alone in this.).
In the wake of this foisted alien religion, something must take the place of the lost traditions, and science has slotted itself in nicely. The sad thing is that it too has become a religion, instead of remaining a simple tool one can use to understand the world around us. (Don't get tied up in semantics here.).
Reductionism is a slippery slope as many of you know. And it is again, another fashion that rides on the heels of Einstein’s faulty hypothesis of relativity. As plasma physicist Wallace Thornhill so eloquently describes, Einstein's hypothesis divorces cause from effect, and tosses direct observation to the wayside. Quantum theory is based more on pseudo-science, or religious belief, rather that the tried and true scientific method.
Jost covers this at 44:00 explaining that "it is our imperfect perception that gives reality its significance". Again, this mental framework was fashionable as psychology had just made its way onto the scientific scene, along with Einstein’s disproven quantum theory, which continues to plague the halls of ‘science’ as well as the ignorant masses who follow that drivel. Jost was most certainly on the trail of plasma physics, and the role it plays in our connected and electric universe. But without that lexicon at his disposal, and with science operating more and more in the realm of computer simulation instead of witnessing observable reality, any description of what we suspect to be true, is fraught with mistakes.
Whatever Jost interprets in the myths, we must consider the information available at the time. It most certainly acts as the lens through which we can decipher what we observe. A vocabulary including electrons, atoms, and even ego, and subconscious is dated fairly recently. And though it is mostly accepted today as 'settled science', consensus doesn't make it true. In fact many of us know by now that consensus can be bought and sold, and often is, in order to keep from rocking the boat.
I decided to read this piece because in the end, the mystery surrounding this man is worth a dive into. I disagree with much of contemporary psychology, and consider the Thunderbolts Project a better source for understanding both psychology AND every world wide myth via a true scientific lens (leaving room for intuition and magic etc.). This was at times very hard to record because of my disagreement, but I know this man was on to something. After all, his work with Ernst Z. case is interesting.
