Youtube and Google suppress a lot of information on this topic, pretty much all the survivors believe it was deliberate and a lot of them have evidence, but the state of Israel has always denied this officially. Many Israelis and Americans don't even know of the incident.

Some Israelis might just be playing dumb, or is it a lack of good schooling on the topic much like in the U.S.? Either way many Americans feel like the incident never got the coverage it deserved at the time and even to this day, it's another one of those things the government and global media love to just sweep under the rug.
