The First Lady of Haiti was airlifted to the US after the assassination of President Jovenel MoÃ¯se.

Martine MoÃ¯se was badly injured after gunmen raided their home in Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince. The embattled president of the Caribbean nation was attacked early on Wednesday morning.

A heavy police presence surrounded the presidential residence as his body was removed. Officers announced that they'd found and killed four of the suspects hours after the assassination.
