The Illegal 14th Amendment's Section Three, which supposedly revokes the citizenship rights of anyone who rebelled against the United States Government was almost never used. By 1874 Ex-Confederates were serving in Congress, among them CSA Vice President Alexander Stephens. While Confederate Officers who attended West Point were barred from the US Army until President William McKinley removed the prohibition in 1898 Brevet Officers and field officers did serve, some publicly. The US Army, facing a manpower deficit during the 1870s-90s, typically looked the other way. AT NO POINT WAS THE 14th AMENDMENT EVER INVOKED.
