Jews Rebuilding the Temple of Solomon as a Synagogue

Today we know that the Jews are rebuilding the Temple of Solomon as a Synagogue, which is different to what Jesus Christ and the apostles said. Paul speaks of this situation 1 Thess 2 where he says that the Man of Lawlessness will come to a Temple (in Jerusalem) and proclaim himself to be God. The Christians therefore know from their scriptures that the events happening is Israel today are part of the End Times.
