Chile is home to the biggest Palestinian diaspora outside of the Middle East. Thousands of miles away from home there is a club which raises its flags for the Palestinian cause. This is just one example of many clubs throughout the world that exist as a means to maintain or celebrate a unique ethnic community. The club was founded in 1920 and plays in the Primera División de Chile. CD Palestino affirm the importance of football and identity, providing a sense of home to a community for 100 years.
