New laser injection technology could soon provide ‘pain-free’ vaccinations

It’s faster than a mosquito bite and promises to be relatively pain free. The so-called Bubble Gun, invented by researchers in the Netherlands, uses laser light to push droplets of medicine or vaccines through the skin. The technology could take up to three more years to develop for public release, but its inventors say it holds promise as a tool to encourage more people to get jabs knowing they can avoid the pain and fear associated with needles.
