The Anti-Defamation League was founded with the purpose of combating antisemitism and supporting the state of Israel, so it would make sense that the ADL would actively oppose the neo-Nazi groups like the Azov Battalion that proliferate in Ukraine. Yet thatâ€™s not the case, as ADL chairman David Fishman recently explained in an interview when he pointed out that the Azov Battalion hasnâ€™t appeared to target Jews, so maybe they were not such a terrible brand of Nazis after all.
