Dr William MacLehose considers early ideas about blood and their connections to Jewish ritual and history, part of the Blood Exhibition at the Jewish Museum London.

The Blood Exhibition explores the provocative and complex subject of blood - reflecting on how blood can unite and divide.

Exploring the theme through the lens of Jewish religion, culture and history, the exhibition examines how blood is an essential part of life as well as integral to rituals about food, sex, and circumcision.
