One of the original versions of the song, there are multiple versions that were recorded and then released around the same time, much like Erika, which is another National Socialist 'Lied' (song).
Though Erika is a folk song about flowers, women and the countryside, where as Horst Wessel-Lied is a tribute to a young man who lost his life during the rise of Hitler in 1930's Germany.
He later became a martyr for the Reich and thus they released many different versions of this song over the years.
