Look at the man with the fancy dress
He ain't got no time, does his lines, feels bad at best
Look at his face, got lines to spare
Ain't had no sleep, worryin' late about his despair

Sits at the bar, crawls back to gin, goes home at four
Wife locks the door, won't let him in
Sleeps in the car most every night
Up at dawn, quickly gone, avoid a fight

Breakin' down
Breakin' down, take me away, don't spare me
Breakin' down
Breakin' down

It crosses his mind, about suicide
But throws away the plan, can't cut his hand, he's afraid to die
He's a desperate man, can't find a way
Blew his mind, can't find a cure, can't stand no more

Looks in the mirror, can't find himself
Runs away, can't face the day, don't like himself
And then comes the day to end it all
A sacrifice for misery, he takes his life

Breakin' down
Breakin' down, take me away, don't spare me
Breakin' down
Breakin' down, take me away

It crosses his mind about suicide
But threw away the plan couldn't cut his hand, was afraid to die
A desperate man, couldn't find a way
Blew his mind, find no cure, he was no more

Looks in the mirror, can't find himself
Runs away, can't face the day, didn't like himself
And then came the day to end it all
A sacrifice for misery, he takes his life

Breakin' down
Breakin' down, take me away, don't spare me
Breakin' down
Breakin' down, take me away
Take me away

I can't stand it
Breakin' down, yeah
