Nearly 200 Bomb Threats Against Jewish Institutions Took Place Over the Weekend | EWTN News Nightly

Over the weekend there were nearly 200 bomb threats against Jewish institutions and synagogues all over the US, including California, Georgia, New York and Virginia. That is according to the Secure Community Network, a group that coordinates security for Jewish institutions. While none of the threats were deemed credible it did cause significant disruption and anxiety for the Jewish community which has seen a surge in antisemitic incidents since the October 7th Hamas terror attack on Israel. Managing Director for the Coalition for Jewish Values, Rabbi Yaakov Menken, joins to talk more about these bomb threats and whether there is any new information. He shares what we are hearing from members of the Jewish community and how they are feeling in light of these threats. Rabbi Menken discusses whether security has been heightened at synagogues and other Jewish institutions. On Sunday, a man was arrested in the Georgetown section of Washington DC after he allegedly sprayed an unknown substance on people and shouted a vile antisemitic phrase. Rabbi Menken explains more about what happened.
