The Irgun Gang, ("The National Military Organization in the Land of Israel"), or Etzel (Hebrew: אצ"ל), was a Jewish Zionist paramilitary organization that operated in Mandate Palestine and then Israel between 1931 and 1948 and formed the foundations for the current ruling party, The Likud.

Destroyed Police Headquarters building building after bomb explosion, including rubble and wrecked offices nearby. Damaged cars on streets. Man sweeping debris in cleanup operation. British troops along in military car and dragging young male suspect along street. Military police carrying out house to house searches and rounding up suspects. Suspects being questioned. Evacuated British forces marching along to new police stations.
