Israel: 'State of war' declared after thousands of rockets fired from Gaza Strip

Thousands of rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel in a surprise attack launched by the Hamas militant group.

Israel says it is in a "state of war" after reports suggested Hamas fighters had entered the country via boat, truck and paraglider.
