Top 10 Norwegian Metal/Rock Bands

Norseman
Published on Mar 12, 2022
It seems that the internet thinks Norway only makes black metal, so I made this video to show the world we got some great bands in the slightly less black genre as well! Despite of this, I really didn't feel like I had a choice for my #1. I found no way around it :)

The way I rated these bands is of course a bit subjective, but I tried my best to take into account things like originality, stage performance, skill, and the general feeling of who "deserved" it based on what I know of their careers. I've played in a metal band for 8 years, if that counts for anything. The 3 songs I chose from each band are naturally some personal favorites, but also an attempt to capture the bands expression as a whole by the songs represented. An impossible task of course, but one may try.

I do not own anything; not soundstracks, nor photos. This is merely a tribute, and a little proud nationalism as I am sharing it to the world.
